| How to Guide: Getting Rid of a Fever Blister at Home |
|
I'm going to be honest with you, Abreva does not work, like the commercials would have you believe to get rid of fever blisters and cold sores. Plus Abreva costs an arm and a leg for a small bottle, bottle because people think that it does work better than doing nothing at all. Well I tried everything I could find for cold sores and fever blisters over the years and can definitely vouch that you should stay away from Abreva and get yourself some Campo Phenique for half the price!
Recently, (I'm almost 100% now) I got a fever blister. And as usuall this thing could not have come at a worse time. This time however the fever blister was underneath my lip, which is a little better than having it on the lip but still. I bought Campo Phenique and applied it the moment I noticed that I had the blister. It dried the blister and the swelling of it went down. I applied Campo Phenique every couple of hours and that was a good and bad thing.
The good thing is that I really dried out the fever blister, the bad thing is that it really made that area of my face extremely dry! I applied the Campo Phenique ointment for 3 days, but now I know should have only applied it maybe one day and a half till I couldn't feel that strange tingly sensation of the fever blister. Afterwards I applied lotion to the extremely dry area of my face that had the blister. The lotion worked very well on converting the redness to my natural skin color.
But like an A@#hole, I scratched the scabs off, thinking that I could make it go away quicker that way. DO NOT SCRATCH the scab off!!!
Anyways, if I applied Campo Phenique for only a day and a half and didn't scratch off the scabs, I would be completely healed right now (4 days after getting it), but I did and my skin is slightly pink in the area where the fever blister was. Bottom line, get yourself some Campo Phenique and follow the instructions on this page.
These instructions will also work for Cold Sores! |
